The National Federation of Arts Organizations announced on the 2nd that Park Hyung-sik, Artistic Director of the National Opera Company, was elected as the next president at the first extraordinary general meeting held on the 23rd of last month.
President-elect Park Hyung-sik graduated from Hanyang University College of Music, Department of Vocal Music, and Dankook University Graduate School of Music. As a professional arts manager, he has served as director of Jeongdong Theater, president of the National Museum of Korea Foundation, CEO of Anyang Cultural Foundation, and president of Uijeongbu Arts Center.
In particular, during his tenure as president of Uijeongbu Arts Center, he was highly evaluated for promoting various cultural and artistic projects and became the first to be reappointed to the position. President-elect Park Hyung-sik took office as Artistic Director of the National Opera Company in October last year.
