View original imageThe “2026 Production Environment Transformation Project” is designed to improve the production environment and increase sales at small-scale ceramic studios. It simultaneously promotes 3D and AI (artificial intelligence) training and equipment upgrades, aiming to expand the digital transformation of the ceramics industry.
The project consists of: ▲ smart workshop support ▲ equipment upgrade support ▲ operational personnel training, and is designed to integrate training and equipment support so that digital technologies can be applied directly in studio settings.
The “Operational Personnel Training” program is a step-by-step course to strengthen the digital design and production capabilities of ceramic artists. The training is offered in three stages: ▲ Basic (3D modeling fundamentals using Autodesk Fusion, May 11–July 6), ▲ Intermediate (sculptural modeling skills using Blender, July 13–September 8), and ▲ Advanced (practical skills in generative AI ceramic design, September 14–November 10). Each session runs for four hours.
Applications for the basic-level training can be submitted via email or postal mail from April 13 to 27, and approximately 10 trainees will be selected through a review process. The training will take place at the Gyeonggi Craft Creation Support Center and instructors' studios.
Eligible applicants are ceramic artists registered with the Korea Ceramic Foundation’s “Ceramic Artist Registration System” and ceramic companies located in Gyeonggi Province. However, as duplicate applications with the “Productivity Enhancement Support Project” are not allowed, applicants must verify the type of support for which they are applying.
Selected trainees will be able to systematically strengthen their digital production skills, from 3D modeling to generative AI design, through step-by-step training. They will also acquire practical skills such as prototype production using 3D printing. In addition, graduates will be eligible for smart workshop development support, including the provision of 3D printers, thereby fostering the simultaneous growth of both equipment and personnel.
Application forms and further details are available on the Korea Ceramic Foundation’s website, and inquiries can be made by phone to the Industrial Promotion Team at the Korea Ceramic Foundation.
