[Winners Club] Fitzpatrick: "I Trusted My Putter"
Playoff Victory at Signature Event RBC Heritage
Averaged 1.58 Putts per Green in Regulation
Sank a 13.4-Foot Winning Birdie in the First Playoff Hole
World No. 3 Matt Fitzpatrick (England) has captured a PGA Tour Signature Event title in the United States, thanks to the help of a “special assistant.”
On April 19 (Korean time), at Harbour Town Golf Links (par 71, 7,243 yards) on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Fitzpatrick claimed victory at the RBC Heritage (total purse of $20 million) after a playoff against World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (USA). This marked his fourth career win, following his victory at the Valspar Championship last month. He received a winner’s prize of $3.6 million (approximately KRW 5.3 billion).

Over four days, he racked up 21 birdies—the most among all players (ranked 1st). His average putts per green in regulation was 1.58 over the same period.
The drama peaked at the 18th hole (par 4) on the final day, where Fitzpatrick experienced both disappointment and joy. After making a bogey on this hole, he finished the regulation round tied for the lead with Scheffler, who saved par. In the first playoff hole, again at the 18th, Fitzpatrick demonstrated his prowess. He sank a winning birdie putt from 13.4 feet (approximately 4.08 meters) using the Bettinardi BB1 Fitz putter.
