"We Must Wake Up the Lee Administration"... Oh Se-hoon Launches Aggressive Campaign on First Day of Election
"The Last Chance to Correct Misguided Policies"
Oh Se-hoon, the People Power Party candidate for Seoul mayor, launched a strong offensive against the administration on the first day of the official campaign for the 9th nationwide local elections, which began on May 21. Touring all across Seoul, he criticized the Lee Jae-myung administration’s real estate policies, saying they have destabilized the rental and lease markets. He emphasized, "This election is one that will serve as a wake-up call to the Lee Jae-myung administration."
On the afternoon of the same day, while campaigning in Seodaemun-gu, Guro-gu, Seongbuk-gu, and other districts, Oh called on voters, saying, "Please ensure that this arrogant president, who has refused to listen to the cries of the citizens, is held accountable in this election."

When monthly rent and lease prices rise, the burden of children’s private education and even the number of side dishes you can buy at the market are affected. The government is not listening to the desperate voices of ordinary people," he criticized.
He then added, "There will be no elections until next year," and called this "effectively the last chance to correct the Lee Jae-myung administration’s misguided real estate policies."
Directing his criticism at Democratic Party candidate Jeong Won-oh, Oh said, "Can we really entrust the lives of 10 million Seoul citizens to a candidate who hides behind the president and cannot make his own decisions? Jeong is an empty candidate who cannot function without the president’s support. It will cause the engine of Seoul to stop," he warned.
Regarding the controversy over the safety of Samsung Station on the GTX-A metropolitan express railway line, he said, "The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has already conducted tests and concluded there are no safety issues, yet this is being used as an election issue," claiming, "It is a political attack to distract from the housing problem."

During a speech in Seongbuk-gu, Yoo said, "The next Seoul mayor will have to solve housing problems, youth employment, and small business issues over the next four years. We need a mayor who serves the citizens of Seoul, not a candidate who only looks to the president."
He continued, "The president, through real estate loan restrictions, has prevented people without cash from buying homes, and will push for a special prosecution to drop his own charges. I ask all of you to take the lead in holding him accountable. I urge everyone to help ensure Oh's victory," he appealed.
