Hyundai N Completes Nürburgring 24 Hours for 11 Consecutive Years, Wins TCR Class for 6th Straight Year
All Three Cars Finish the 2026 Endurance Race
2.5T Engine Durability Validated for Future N Models
Hyundai Motor Company's high-performance brand, Hyundai N, set a new record by completing the Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race for the 11th consecutive year. This year, leading with the Elantra N TCR, Hyundai N achieved its sixth consecutive victory in the TCR class and successfully completed the race with two Elantra N1 Cup cars, validating the next-generation engine.
On May 18, Hyundai Motor Company announced that all three of its participating vehicles—the Elantra N TCR and two Elantra N1 Cup cars—successfully completed the 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race, which was held from May 16 to 17 (local time) in the Nürburg area of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
The Nürburgring 24 Hours is a car racing event held on the Nürburgring Circuit, which is considered the most challenging racetrack in the world, stretching 25.378 kilometers. The competition lasts 24 hours, and rankings are determined based on the total number of laps completed.
The Nürburgring Circuit is particularly notorious for its elevation changes of up to 300 meters and approximately 170 corners. With an average completion rate of only 60–70%, it is also known as "The Green Hell."
First, the Elantra N TCR participated in the TCR class, a category for front-wheel-drive touring race cars with engines under 2,000cc that retain much of the mass-production car's form and components, and finished in first place.
With this achievement, Hyundai N has set a remarkable record of winning the TCR class for six consecutive years and completing the Nürburgring 24 Hours for 11 consecutive years since its debut in 2016.

With a larger engine displacement compared to the previous 2.0T engine, the Elantra N1 Cup cars competed not in the SP3T class but in the SP4T class. Both cars completed the race, successfully validating the durability of the next-generation high-performance powertrain.
These vehicles were driven by Korea's top young drivers—including Kim Kyumin, Kim Youngchan, and Shin Woojin—who were selected through Hyundai Motor Company's N Festival, and they succeeded in finishing the Nürburgring 24 Hours.
