KOTRA Volunteers for Cemetery Cleanup at Seoul National Cemetery... First Step in Honoring Veterans
Full-Scale Activities Begin Following MOU with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs
The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced on the 18th that it conducted a cemetery cleanup volunteer activity at Seoul National Cemetery on the 16th.
This activity marks the first domestic implementation of the spirit of the "Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the Conservation, Management, and Revitalization of Overseas Memorial Sites for Veterans," signed with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs on the 13th.
The volunteer event was co-organized by "Left Hands," KOTRA's in-house volunteer group, and the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Management Innovation Office. The volunteer team, consisting of 38 employees and their families, began the day's activities by paying tribute at the Memorial Tower to honor the noble sacrifices of patriotic martyrs and national heroes.

After completing the cleanup, they visited the National Defense Exhibition Hall and the Relics Exhibition Hall to pay tribute to the dedication of war veterans and to reflect on the significance of their sacrifices.
Kang Kyungsung, President of KOTRA, stated, "As the first activity following the signing of the MOU with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, employees and their families participated together in maintaining the cemetery, thereby fostering a spirit of national defense. Moving forward, we will not only focus on preserving overseas memorial sites using our global trade network, but also continue activities within Korea to honor the spirit of sacrifice of our patriotic forebears."
