He said, "Since the June 27 loan regulation last year, a full-fledged supply freeze has begun as only actual residents are allowed to purchase homes." He added, "Since then, the supply of jeonse leases has completely dried up, jeonse deposits have risen, and monthly rents are soaring."
He continued, "The biggest victims are genuine jeonse and monthly rent seekers, especially the younger generation." He added, "I hope this local election will serve as a wake-up call regarding the government’s misguided policies on jeonse and monthly rent."
He also introduced the 'Sprout One-Room' policy as a youth housing measure at the Seoul city level, stating, "We will supply about 74,000 units of youth rental housing and also push for interest-free financial support of up to 30 million won."
Lee Junseok said, "The reason why opposition mayoral candidates in Seoul gathered today is a shared awareness that the real estate failures of the Lee Jaemyung administration are seriously threatening housing for the younger generation." He added, "Due to loan regulations and supply restrictions, it has become increasingly difficult for young people to climb the ladder from jeonse to homeownership," and, "Housing stability is a livelihood issue that the opposition must address together."
Regarding candidate Jeong Wonoh's pledge to reduce property taxes, Lee criticized, "The Democratic Party creates problems and then later offers relief as a gesture of goodwill," and called it "a policy that undermines the stability of the real estate market."
Kim Jeongcheol argued, "Trying to stabilize housing prices by blocking supply is like trying to control the price of water by shutting off the faucet," and insisted, "We need to drastically ease real estate regulations and shift to a supply-focused policy." He also addressed the issue of victims of jeonse fraud, stating, "Both the Seoul city government and the national government must ensure compensation for victims and guarantee housing stability."

However, the three candidates drew a line regarding the possibility of a broader opposition alliance. Oh Sehun dismissed the idea, saying, "Resolving the suffering of youths and ordinary citizens takes priority over political interests." Lee Junseok also said, "We are not considering candidate unification or electoral alliances at all," but added, "On livelihood issues such as failed real estate policies, policy cooperation is possible." Kim Jeongcheol likewise remarked, "We can join forces in criticizing the real estate policy failures of the Lee Jaemyung administration, but the Reform New Party will maintain its independent course."
