Free Training and Allowance Provided

On May 14, Samsung C&T announced that it will conduct a practical training program called the "Samsung C&T Partner Company Construction and Safety Manager Training" for young job seekers who hope to find employment in the construction and safety management sectors, in an effort to help address youth unemployment.

This program is part of the "Large and Small Business Win-Win Job Creation Program," which has been operated since 2018 by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, with the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency and Hankyung SME Cooperation Center as the main organizers. A total of 586 people participated in the Samsung C&T training course until last year, of whom 551 completed the course. Among them, 335 people, including those joining partner companies, successfully found employment.

The program is open to young job seekers aged 34 or younger (born after April 28, 1992) who hold at least an associate degree. Those who have completed military service can apply until the age of 39, including their military service period. Applicants who majored in safety, architecture, electricity, facilities, or civil engineering, or who hold relevant certifications, will be given preference.

Applications can be submitted on the Multicampus homepage until June 26. The training will take place over approximately six weeks, from July 1 to August 12, at a training center near Gangnam Station in Seoul, from Monday to Friday, for six hours a day.

The curriculum is centered on construction safety management, a core competency in the construction industry, and also includes modules to strengthen individual safety capabilities, applying AI to safety work, and practical training in construction safety management.

The training is free of charge, and lunch will be provided. Those with an attendance rate of 70% or higher will receive up to 600,000 won in training allowances. In addition, a recruitment program connecting participants with approximately 40 partner companies will be run concurrently during the training period.

The recruitment target is a total of 100 people, with 50 for the construction manager track and 50 for the safety manager track. Samsung C&T plans to actively support partner companies' recruitment, including providing job counseling support.

Byungryong Ye, Executive Director and Head of Procurement at Samsung C&T, stated, "We continue to operate this program to develop practical talent needed at construction sites and to enhance the job competitiveness of young job seekers. Moving forward, we will continue to promote win-win cooperation with partner companies and support various activities to expand youth employment opportunities."
