Hampyeong Drive-in Theater Selected for Ministry of Culture Support Project for 2 Consecutive Years, Offers Discount Benefits

Hampyeong Drive-in Theater in Hampyeong County, South Jeolla Province, has been selected for the 'National Movie Viewing Promotion Support Project' by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korean Film Council, allowing it to offer discounted admission benefits to audiences for a second consecutive year.
On May 12, Hampyeong County announced that the Hampyeong Drive-in Theater has been selected for the second consecutive year for the 'National Movie Viewing Promotion Support Project' organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korean Film Council.
This project, promoted by the Korean Film Council, aims to revitalize the stagnant domestic cinema market and encourage cultural activities among the public. With this selection for a second consecutive year, the Hampyeong Drive-in Theater will be able to further support local residents' access to cultural experiences.
As a result of being chosen for the project, visitors to the Hampyeong Drive-in Theater can receive a 6,000 won discount per vehicle for watching the latest films, starting from May 13. The general admission fee will be reduced from 20,000 won to 14,000 won, and for county residents, from 16,000 won to 10,000 won. These discounted rates will be offered until the allocated budget is exhausted.
Unlike other theaters, the Hampyeong Drive-in Theater allows audiences to enjoy movies comfortably in a private space. In particular, guests can receive delivered food before the movie begins, making it possible to freely enjoy their choice of food while watching a film—a unique attraction not found at other venues.
