Deputy Governor Ryu Haeseok stated, "Due to climate change, summer disasters are becoming increasingly complex and large-scale. In particular, since the scale and damage of natural disasters are hard to predict, thorough preemptive preparation and inspection of disaster-prone facilities—especially those with risk of casualties—are more important than ever." He added, "Although we respond to these situations every year, we cannot let our guard down for even a moment. I urge everyone to conduct thorough preemptive inspections and eliminate risk factors by establishing systematic safety management measures and proactive response systems in each area, so as to prevent any loss of life or property among our residents."
