Enchem announced that it will participate in the 18th China International Battery Fair (CIBF 2026), which will be held from May 13 to 15 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in China. More than 3,000 companies are expected to participate in this exhibition, including major Chinese battery companies such as CATL, BYD, EVE Energy, Gotion High-Tech, and Sunwoda.

Recently, the Chinese battery industry has been expanding its focus from electric vehicles (EVs) to various battery segments such as energy storage systems (ESS), all-solid-state batteries, and sodium-ion batteries. Industry experts note that as the “multi-portfolio” strategy—securing a diverse range of products by application and price segment rather than focusing on a specific battery product line—spreads, the ability of material companies to respond with a broad product range is becoming increasingly important.

At this exhibition, Enchem plans to present its market response strategy centered on electrolyte products for lithium iron phosphate (LFP), lithium manganese-rich (LMR), and mid-nickel and high-nickel ternary batteries.

Enchem especially emphasizes that it is the only Korean company to have entered the local battery supply chain in the Chinese electrolyte market. The company is currently conducting quality level inspections at its Zaozhuang plant in China for the supply of electrolyte for ESS-use LFP batteries to CATL. Following further evaluation and approval processes, a final decision will be made regarding mass production supply.

Enchem currently supplies electrolyte to major battery manufacturers such as AESC Envision, ZhongQi XinNeng (ZhongQi), SVOLT, and Lishen. The company is also expanding supply chain cooperation with top-tier battery firms leading the global EV and ESS market in China, including CATL.

The company operates manufacturing bases in two locations in China: Zaozhuang and Zhangjiagang. Its total annual production capacity is 220,000 tons. In response to market trends, Enchem is also increasing the proportion of ESS-oriented supply. As of 2025, the share of electrolyte supply for ESS within its Chinese subsidiaries has surpassed that for EVs, reaching approximately 70%. The company has already established a proven track record for supplying LFP electrolyte for ESS applications locally in China.

An Enchem representative stated, “Through our participation in CIBF, we plan to actively introduce our electrolyte technology and local supply capabilities—capable of handling a variety of product segments—to global clients,” adding, “We will further enhance our market responsiveness based on our experience with local production bases and supply in China.”
