The party expressed its full support for the success of the 'K-Semiconductor Mega Cluster.'
Candidate Lee first toured the 'NRD-K (Next-generation Research Device for Semiconductors),' Samsung Electronics' next-generation semiconductor research and development (R&D) base.
At the subsequent meeting, Jeon Younghyun, CEO (Vice Chairman) of Samsung Electronics, stated, "The NRD-K, which alone receives a yearly R&D budget of 10 trillion won, was completed at the end of last year. Candidate Lee Sangil (currently Yongin Special City Mayor) and the city of Yongin provided significant assistance. While serving as mayor, Candidate Lee supported the prompt establishment of the Yongin National Industrial Complex through administrative help," he said, expressing his gratitude.
Vice Chairman Jeon continued, "According to the original plan for the advanced semiconductor complex, ground should have broken on the national industrial complex by now, but due to various internal and external factors, construction has yet to begin. We urgently need administrative support from both the government and the National Assembly, and especially the active backing of Candidate Lee Sangil for Yongin Mayor and Candidate Yang Hyangja," he conveyed from the field.

If the government had not approved the Yongin National Industrial Complex plan by December 31, 2024, before the current administration took office, the project would likely have been scrapped—just thinking about that sends chills down my spine," he reflected.
In particular, Candidate Lee strongly criticized recent speculation about the possible relocation of the national industrial complex and other attempts to undermine the project.

How could such individuals possibly lead the future of Yongin's semiconductor sector?" he pointed out.
