A New Model for Wellness Tourism
Influencer Couple's Wedding Photo Shoot Draws Attention
Namhae-gun in South Gyeongsang Province is set to officially launch the "Eco Wedding Island" project, a new tourism initiative aimed at developing Jodo in Mijo-myeon as Korea's premier wellness island.
The county announced on May 11 that it held its first official program—a wedding photo shoot—on Jodo on April 28.
Influencer couple Yoon Seola and Lee Byungwook participated in this shoot, presenting a nature-friendly wedding concept against the backdrop of Jodo’s dramatic rocky cliffs and blue sea.
The resulting photos have been praised for sensibly capturing the pristine natural scenery of Jodo, further highlighting the unique appeal of island weddings.
Namhae-gun plans to host its first private eco wedding event on June 14. This event is designed as a small, customized wedding that embraces the natural environment and sentiment of Jodo, and the county is currently recruiting couples to participate.
Selected couples will be provided with a wedding styled using natural materials, as well as a professional wedding photo shoot. Guests will receive a welcome kit featuring Namhae specialties and sentimental goods.
On the day of the ceremony, a small concert and catering program will also be held, offering guests special memories amid the tranquil scenery of Jodo.
