The county concentrated its financial resources on supporting livelihood stability by increasing allocations for various items to counteract the rising cost of living for county residents and the downturn in the local economy resulting from recent international oil price hikes. The increased allocations include 4.58 billion won in government support funds for high oil price damages, 2.49 billion won in living support funds for Gyeongnam residents, and 1.04 billion won in oil price subsidies for the transportation sector.
This supplementary budget also reflects funding for addressing local issues closely related to residents' lives, such as improvements to living SOC, disaster prevention, and fostering young farmers.
Major projects include 800 million won for renovation work on outdated facilities at the Uiryeong Eco-Friendly Baseball Stadium, 3.13 billion won for the Seongdang Pumping Station facility improvement project, 190 million won for customized support projects for young start-up farmers, 170 million won for local rainwater drainage cleaning projects, and 100 million won for safety facility improvements on the Nakdong River bicycle path (at Bakjin Hill).
