Seoul Construction Site Banners to Change... Safety Enhanced with "Morning Yellow"
Seoul Facility Corporation Enhances Banner Design for Improved Aesthetics
Construction Information Now Accessible Day or Night, Rain or Shine
On May 8, Seoul City announced that it will introduce a new design for construction site banners. The initiative aims to enhance readability and safety by using bright and vivid colors, as well as providing information through QR codes.
To this end, the Seoul Facility Corporation will apply the 2026 Seoul color "Morning Yellow" to construction guide facilities. "Morning Yellow" is a bright and vivid shade inspired by the morning sunlight in Seoul. It stands out clearly from its surroundings, making construction information easy to recognize during both day and night, and even on rainy days. With this improvement, the corporation expects that citizens will be able to identify construction sites from a distance, which will help reduce safety accidents and alleviate the oppressive and heavy atmosphere often associated with construction sites.

Additionally, the corporation is launching the "Safe Companion at Construction Sites Project" to protect vulnerable groups, including elderly workers and foreign workers. Elderly workers will be provided with smart safety bands that monitor health conditions such as body temperature and heart rate in real time, and the "Health Safety Bell Help Me" system will send instant alerts in emergency situations. Moreover, domestic workers will receive information on managing their technical career records, while foreign workers will be offered customized guidance on dedicated insurance and Seoul City's welfare policies, thereby narrowing the information gap.
With the summer heavy rain season approaching, the corporation will conduct intensive electrical and fire safety inspections at urban construction sites that are particularly vulnerable to the risk of electrical leakage and fire. The inspections will involve a thorough examination of 10 key items, including the installation and management status of portable temporary distribution panels, insulation, grounding and circuit breaker operation, and the presence of fire extinguishers. If any risk factors are identified during the inspection, immediate corrective action will be taken on site. In addition, on-site safety training will be provided on the proper use of temporary electrical systems and emergency response procedures.
