KISA announced on May 8 that, in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and ICT, it has finalized the selection of 18 projects and 50 participating companies for the development of next-generation security products and services, as part of the "2026 Information Security New Technology Support Project."

This project aims to proactively respond to the changing technological and market environment, where the spread of high-performance AI makes AI technology both a means of defense and an instrument of attack against cyber threats. KISA selected 50 companies through a public call for 18 projects across four key areas: commercialization of AI-based next-generation security products, fostering AI-based security companies, development of a Korean-style integrated security model, and the introduction of zero trust, with a total investment of 12 billion won.

KISA plans to support the selected companies in enhancing the technical completeness of their AI security products and services, and in building a foundation for entry into domestic and overseas markets through demonstration and commercialization.

Oh Jin-young, Head of the AI Security Industry Headquarters at KISA, stated, "We will actively support domestic information security companies to strengthen their AI security capabilities and gain competitiveness in the next-generation security market."
