Samsung Bioepis and Seoul National University College of Pharmacy Sign Agreement to Operate "Electronic Research Notebook Competition"
Competition for Undergraduate Students to Be Held Over the Next Five Years
On May 7, Samsung Bioepis announced that it had signed an operation agreement with the College of Pharmacy at Seoul National University on May 6 in the main conference room of the College of Pharmacy, Seoul National University, to jointly run the "Electronic Research Notebook Competition" and nurture future talent for the pharmaceutical and bio industries.
Under this agreement, Samsung Bioepis and Seoul National University will jointly operate the "Electronic Research Notebook Competition" for undergraduate students at the College of Pharmacy for the next five years. The two parties will cooperate to discover outstanding research cases and promote a culture of proper electronic research notebook documentation.

They are also used as a means to demonstrate the credibility of research when publishing in academic journals. Therefore, acquiring proper research notebook writing skills from the undergraduate level is considered an essential quality for researchers.
Notably, this agreement marks the first time Samsung Bioepis has introduced an "electronic" research notebook as part of its industry-academic cooperation activities. Through this initiative, Samsung Bioepis aims to focus on sharing research know-how that aligns with industrial trends in the digital and AI era.
Kim Kyung-Ah, President of Samsung Bioepis, who attended the signing ceremony, stated, "By strengthening industry-academic cooperation activities that share global-level research and development know-how with universities, we will continue to contribute to the early identification and cultivation of outstanding talent for the pharmaceutical and bio industries." Kang Gunwook, Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Seoul National University, expressed his expectations, saying, "The know-how of a world-class biosimilar development company will be integrated into the university research environment, providing students with the opportunity to become talents with global competitiveness."

Meanwhile, since 2015, Samsung Bioepis has signed research notebook competition agreements with seven universities nationwide (Korea University, Pusan National University, Sungkyunkwan University, Yonsei University, Chonnam National University, KAIST, and Pohang University of Science and Technology), and continues to carry out a wide range of industry-academic cooperation activities to spread its expertise in biopharmaceutical research and development accumulated in the global market.
