The two companies will collaborate across the entire development process of autonomous vehicles, leveraging their technological capabilities. Autonomous A2Z will oversee system integration based on its software stack for all aspects of autonomous driving, including a Level 4 autonomous driving platform, driving strategy and path planning, vehicle control software, control and operation technology, and urban demonstration data. HL Mando will provide intelligent chassis systems and integrated control software and solutions, as well as develop control systems optimized for autonomous driving environments.
In addition, the companies will focus on the joint development of EPS-based control software, a core element of autonomous driving control. This collaboration aims to enhance the precision of vehicle steering control and secure autonomous driving control technology that enables stable driving even in complex and diverse urban environments. By further advancing the linkage between operational data and vehicle components, the companies will work together to meet the performance standards required for the mass production and commercialization of autonomous vehicles.
They also plan to jointly promote and market their efforts, and to gradually expand the scope of cooperation by exploring new business opportunities related to autonomous driving in the future.
