Kkokkalcorn Gets a New Look... First Packaging Redesign in 5 Years

Kkokkalcorn Crunch Sound Quiz Event
Lotte Wellfood announced on May 7 that it has revamped the packaging design for its flagship snack brand "Kkokkalcorn." This renewal comes five years after the last redesign in 2021.
The company stated, "We have added dynamism to the design to reflect the tastes of younger generations and included the English brand name to target the global market." They also explained, "While maintaining Kkokkalcorn's original brand identity, we enhanced elements that appeal to consumers in their teens and twenties."
The new packaging features Kkokkalcorn's signature triangular brand identity (BI) tilted diagonally to create a dynamic look. The background color has also been updated to a more vivid and contemporary tone. The bumpy texture of the snack's surface is reflected in the design to emphasize the product's unique characteristics. In particular, for the "Spicy & Sweet" flavor, strong contrasting colors and graphic patterns have been applied to visually express the crispy texture.
To cater to global consumers, the English brand name "KOKALKON" is displayed beneath the Korean name. The slogan "Delicious Even to the Crunch" appears in the lower right corner of the package, highlighting Kkokkalcorn's distinctive crispiness.
The company is also holding a social media (SNS) event to commemorate the design renewal. On its official Instagram, a quiz event will be held where participants guess the sound of Kkokkalcorn's crunch, and winners will be randomly selected to receive AirPods Pro (3rd generation), Kkokkalcorn gifticons, and more. The event runs through June 30.
