Jung presided over the meeting for the first time since the committee's launch, reviewing the campaign's operational direction and the one-team response system to secure victory in the general election.
Jung's "Melting Pot Election Committee," launched on the 20th, includes a large number of incumbent lawmakers from Seoul constituencies, led by five-term lawmaker Lee In-young. At the meeting, more than 30 key campaign officials attended, including the standing co-chairs Lee In-young, Seo Young-kyo, Park Jumin, Jeon Hyun-hee, Kim Young-bae, and Kim Hyung-nam, as well as General Campaign Director Lee Hae-sik and Chief of General Affairs and Support Director Chae Hyun-il.
Jung said, "I will not fight my opponent; instead, I will fight the inconveniences citizens face. My top priority will be to do what citizens want, not what the mayor wants to do."
Regarding Oh Se-hoon, the People Power Party candidate who completed his preliminary registration the day before, Jung stated, "His first remarks were truly disappointing," and defined the election by saying, "This Seoul mayoral race is about changing the competence of the local government following the change at the central government, and about completely removing the shadow of insurrection."
