Dong-gu, Daegu Launches "Gamu Eohung Makgeolli" Made with Glutinous Rice and Apples
A local specialty Makgeolli from Dong-gu, Daegu has been launched.
On April 21, the Bullo-dong Urban Regeneration Field Support Center in Dong-gu, Daegu held a launch event for the regional specialty Makgeolli, "Gamu Eohung Makgeolli."
Gamu Eohung Makgeolli was created through education, practice, and research at Bullo Transmission Center, which was established as part of the Bullo-dong urban regeneration project. Its significance is further enhanced by the participation of trainees from the Bullo Takju Academy, which is operated for the fifth year by the agricultural corporation Bullo, Craft Bullo Cooperative, and Dong-gu, Daegu, who are responsible for the production and education of local specialty liquors.
The newly launched Gamu Eohung Makgeolli is made with 100% glutinous rice and rice from Daegu. Daegu apples are also added, providing a subtle fruit aroma, a natural acidity, and sweetness. It comes in a 500ml bottle, has an alcohol content of 8%, and is priced at 9,000 won.
Gamu Eohung Makgeolli can be purchased through the Bullo-dong Urban Regeneration Field Support Center, and online sales will be expanded through the launch of a Naver Smart Store.
