View original imageThe Korea National University of Cultural Heritage announced on April 23 that it will receive a donation of 124 embroidery works and 1,185 artifacts, including ceramics and folk items, from Choi Yoohyun, National Intangible Heritage Embroidery Master. The donation agreement ceremony was held the previous day at the university’s Yuhyeondang Hall.
Choi, who has long dedicated herself to the preservation and transmission of traditional embroidery, is a renowned artisan. The donated items serve as materials for understanding various production techniques, materials, patterns, and methods of expression.
Choi stated, "Through this donation, I hope the value of traditional embroidery will continue to be carried on and actively utilized in educational settings."

The donated items are scheduled to be exhibited and released to the public as soon as renovations at the old Buyeo Museum are completed. A university official said, "We will systematically manage and preserve the donated items and utilize them in education and research."
