SoftSquared Appoints Byungyong Moon, Former Head of Training at AWS Korea, to Strengthen Global AI Partnerships
Partnerships and Customer Expansion in Response to Growing Demand
for "Operational Layer" Supporting Foundation Model Adoption
A Strategic Expert Who Led AI Training and Integration for Major Korean Enterprises at AWS Korea
SoftSquared, a developer AI MSP (Managed Service Provider) company led by CEO Ha Neul Lee, announced on April 22 that it has appointed Byungyong Moon, CEO of Valueunce Co., Ltd., as its AI Strategy Advisory Committee Member. The primary goals of this recruitment are to design partnerships with global AI platform companies and to expand the company’s large enterprise customer base.
Advisory Committee Member Moon began his career as a management consultant at Accenture, and has since worked in sales and marketing at Microsoft, as a product manager at Naver, and as Executive Vice President overseeing product at SK Telecom. Most recently, he led the Training & Certification division at Amazon Web Services (AWS) Korea, establishing himself as an expert in strategy and business development.
While at SK Telecom, he led the three major telecom companies’ integrated messaging platform (RCS) business, boosting monthly active users (MAU) to over 20 million. At AWS Korea, he achieved 151% year-over-year growth in his business division, developed and distributed generative AI training programs for non-technical staff, and facilitated the on-site adoption of AI by major domestic enterprises.
This appointment is a strategic move to expand SoftSquared’s market presence. The company recognizes that, just as major domestic MSPs helped create the market during the early days of cloud adoption by tailoring and managing AWS and Azure technologies for their clients, there is now a need for an intermediary partner in the AI era to design and operate technologies from global AI platform companies—such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Microsoft—to fit enterprise environments.
Over the past seven years, SoftSquared has connected and managed external talent for the development organizations of more than 500 companies, leveraging a developer ecosystem of over 7,000 people. SoftSquared believes that this operational system will function just as effectively even as the focus shifts from human resources to AI agents. Through its service "Gridge," the company supplies client companies with development teams where human developers and AI agents work together.
Prior to this appointment, SoftSquared established an entry partnership with Microsoft and plans to expand partnerships with other major AI platform companies to broaden its business foundation. Advisory Committee Member Moon will be responsible for designing these partnerships, developing large enterprise customer channel strategies, and providing consultation on overseas expansion, including into Japan.

Ha Neul Lee, CEO of SoftSquared, stated, “If cloud MSPs have set the standard for enterprise IT services over the past decade, the next ten years will belong to developer AI MSPs. The experience that Advisory Committee Member Moon brings—designing partner channels and customer relationships across global big tech companies and domestic conglomerates—will be invaluable in building Gridge’s role as a bridge between foundation model companies and enterprise clients seeking to deploy their technologies in the developer AI era.”
