[Weather] Morning Temperatures Drop Sharply... Caution Advised for Yellow Dust and Cold
On Tuesday, April 21, morning temperatures are expected to drop significantly, making it feel chilly. Most regions across the country will remain mostly clear, but increased cloud cover is forecast from nighttime. With yellow dust also present, extra caution is advised for respiratory health.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, morning lows are forecast to range from 2 to 11 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs from 17 to 23 degrees Celsius. While daytime temperatures will be similar to seasonal averages, morning temperatures will be 5 to 10 degrees lower than the previous day, making the cold particularly noticeable.

View original imageIn particular, some areas of South Chungcheong Province, parts of North Jeolla Province, and the southern mountainous regions of Gangwon Province remain under a cold wave advisory issued around 9 p.m. the previous day. As cold air moves southward from the northwest, morning temperatures may drop below 0 degrees Celsius in the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province. Strong winds will make it feel even colder.
