Lawyers Min Kyungsik (8th Bar Exam), Bae Jihee (9th Bar Exam), Yang Yunseop (7th Bar Exam), and Oh Secheol (37th Judicial Research and Training Institute class) have been awarded the Outstanding Lawyer Award by the Korean Bar Association.

According to the association, the selection process involved receiving recommendations of lawyers who demonstrated excellence in the areas of justice and human rights, improvement of the legal system, exemplary advocacy, development of legal culture, and public interest activities, followed by a rigorous review.
Min Kyungsik has served as a bridge connecting domestic and international practices across the fields of international human rights, privacy, and AI governance. He has taken a leading operational role in discussions on international cooperation through major channels such as the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the Korean Bar Association, contributing to the strengthening of international cooperation frameworks. In particular, his international leadership has been formally recognized through his appointments as an IAPP Asia Advisory Board member and Korea representative, and he has demonstrated his expertise in the intersection of regulation, technology, and human rights as a member of the European Data Protection Board's Support Pool of Experts (SPE).
Bae Jihee has been at the forefront of protecting the human rights of vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities, children, and victims of sexual crimes as a court-appointed victim counsel at the Ulsan District Prosecutors’ Office. She has handled over 160 cases in a single year, helping to address gaps in legal representation for victims. In particular, she provided exemplary advocacy by representing multiple victims in the Ulsan Taeyeon Rehabilitation Center group abuse case, focusing on preventing secondary victimization.
Yang Yunseop has served as a court-appointed victim counsel for the Korea Sexual Violence Relief Center and the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office, dedicating himself to protecting the procedural rights and facilitating the swift recovery of victims of sexual crimes. In addition, through participation in various committees under the Seoul Metropolitan and Incheon Metropolitan Offices of Education, he has contributed to preventing disputes and establishing due process in the field of education, thereby strengthening educational administration. His multifaceted efforts have supported the protection of the rights of vulnerable groups in need of legal assistance and the institutional advancement of the public sector.

Oh Secheol has contributed to institutional improvement and safety assurance based on his expertise in international contracts and aviation law. Notably, he played a substantive role in strengthening the safety of passengers and crew and enhancing the public interest in the aviation industry by establishing a response system for unruly passengers and institutionalizing the long-term transportation refusal review system (KE NO-FLY). During his tenure at Korea Electric Power Corporation, he led the enactment of regulations for compliance with the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and the preparation of accident response manuals, thereby contributing to the establishment of compliance management and safety management systems at public institutions.
