"Trot Festival" at Daegu Kolon Outdoor Music Hall... Featuring Seol Woon-do, Park Seo-jin, and Young Tak
The Daegu Metropolitan Government will host the "2026 Powerful K-Trot Festival" at the Kolon Outdoor Music Hall in Duryu-dong, Dalseo-gu, Daegu, on April 25 at 6:00 p.m.
Now in its fourth year, this event will be held as a free concert, featuring top Korean trot singers such as Park Seo-jin, Park Gun, Park Gu-yoon, Oh Yu-jin, Eun Ga-eun, Seol Woon-do, and Young Tak. These performers will present high-quality shows with their powerful vocals and excellent stage presence.
The festival is designed to invigorate citizens weary from daily life by offering a trot performance that appeals across generations. In particular, the event aims to be more meaningful by actively providing opportunities for cultural enjoyment to multicultural families, low-income households, seniors, and other underprivileged groups who usually have limited access to large-scale performances.
The Daegu Metropolitan Government is working closely with related agencies, including fire and police departments, to thoroughly prepare in advance so that many citizens can enjoy the concert safely and comfortably.
Dedicated personnel will be deployed intensively to safety-vulnerable areas around the venue. To ensure swift response in case of an emergency, an emergency relief team will be on site and ambulances will be on standby at all times. In addition, a pre-coordination system will be established with nearby hospitals to guarantee a thorough response to any safety incidents.
Focus will also be placed on smooth traffic flow and expansion of convenience facilities. The city will operate patrol vehicles at major intersections and access roads near the venue to ensure smooth traffic flow, and rubber traffic cones will be installed in vulnerable areas to strengthen enforcement against illegal parking and stopping. In addition, mobile toilets will be increased and citizen convenience facilities, such as cooling shelters, will be expanded.
Additional measures will be implemented for public transportation users. Six city bus routes passing near the venue will run more frequently, matching weekday service levels, and one extra train bound for Yeungnam University will be placed on emergency standby at the nearby Duryu Station after the event to help transport citizens. As congestion is expected in the area around the venue, citizens are strongly encouraged to use public transportation whenever possible.
