Seongdong District to Hold "One and Only Earth" Environmental Festival at Wangsimni Square on the 22nd

Seongdong District in Seoul will hold the "5th One and Only Earth" event at Wangsimni Square on the 22nd to mark the 56th Earth Day.
The event is designed as an experience-oriented program where residents can participate as "Green Agents" and carry out everyday carbon reduction missions. There will be a total of five themed zones—Resource Recovery Operation Base, Technology Training Center, Energy Task Force, Operation Headquarters, and Official Member Appointment Zone—with 15 booths for hands-on activities and promotional experiences.

View original imageAt the "Resource Recovery Operation Base," participants can bring items such as milk cartons, transparent PET bottles, and used batteries to exchange for recycled toilet paper, new batteries, cleaning brushes, or dish soap. The "Technology Training Center" will offer eco-friendly one-day classes. Children can enjoy making sock ring doorbells, cardboard toys, and natural air fresheners, while adults can participate in activities such as planting companion plants in recycled pots, steam-cleaning bicycles, and woodworking workshops.
The "Energy Task Force" will offer carbon-neutral experience programs for all generations, including making cotton candy with pedal power, defeating eco-villains, and participating in carbon capture missions. At the "Operation Headquarters," there will be a video exhibition promoting Eco-Mileage signups and displaying weather and climate photography. Participants who complete the resource circulation missions can commemorate their achievement at the photo zone in the "Official Member Appointment Zone."
