These videos are typically structured around a narrator who claims to be married to a doctor and boasts about their lifestyle. They may be shown shopping for luxury goods, visiting high-end hotels, or showing off a high-rise home with a view of the Han River. The average number of views reportedly ranges from 6 million to 7 million, indicating significant public interest.
As competition intensifies, lectures on how to find a doctor spouse have begun to appear. On one crowdfunding platform, a lecture titled "How I Married a Doctor" was posted, along with a notice that it would open at 11:00 a.m. on May 1.
The lecture covered topics such as why doctor husbands are popular on SNS, the significance of doctors in Korean society, why dating a doctor was easy, why parents of doctors are more selective about partners, how understanding the profession is key to marriage, and a complete analysis of a doctor's life cycle.
