Activities such as musical chairs and folk dance provided opportunities for parents and children to naturally spend time together through community games.
At the education hall, a parent humanities lecture based on Dasan Jeong Yak-yong’s educational philosophy of “communication and practice” was held. The lecture, themed “We Need to Talk,” explored parent-child relationships in everyday language and resonated with the participants.
Experiential activities held at Myeongnyundang and its front yard served as a meaningful time to reflect on the value of traditional educational spaces. Park Soeun, who participated from Yeongam with her grandchild, said, “Through the lecture, I learned how to communicate with my grandchild. It was also my first time tasting Dasan Hwangcha tea, and it was a meaningful experience.”
