Woongjin Freedelife and Green Umbrella to Create New 'Donation Funeral' Culture
Establishing a System to Return Inheritance and Condolence Money to Society
On April 17, Woongjin Freedelife announced that it has partnered with Green Umbrella to foster a donation-based funeral culture through a memorial donation campaign memorandum of understanding.
The purpose is to establish a donation structure that enables people to contribute their inheritance or condolence money to society during the funeral and memorial process.
The signing ceremony was held on this day at the main conference room of Woongjin Freedelife’s headquarters, with key personnel from both sides in attendance, including Moon Hosang, CEO of Woongjin Freedelife, and Hwang Younggi, Chairman of Green Umbrella. The two parties agreed to promote a culture of donation throughout the funeral process. If customers or bereaved families express their intent to donate, Woongjin Freedelife will work together with Green Umbrella to support everything from counseling to the donation procedure. The donations can be directed to fields that the deceased was interested in during their lifetime.
