The Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, the Korea Startup Promotion Agency, the Korea Trade Insurance Corporation, and the Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation are working together with young people, the main players of the data economy era, to promote the value of public data. On April 16, these four organizations announced that they had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to activate the use of public data and held the launching ceremony for the "2026 AI·Data Supporters" program.

The main points of the agreement include: ▲ Joint cooperation for the operation of the AI·Data Supporters program; ▲ Mutual exchange of opinions regarding public data disclosure plans; and ▲ Information exchange to establish measures for strengthening data-driven administration. The four organizations pledged to collaborate closely to effectively open their high-quality data and support its use by the private sector.
The "2026 AI·Data Supporters" program, which kicked off alongside the signing ceremony, is a joint initiative of the four organizations to foster the next generation of artificial intelligence (AI) talent. The twelve university and graduate student supporters, selected through intense competition, will participate in activities for three months until July, producing video and social media content based on the high-quality data provided by each organization. Through these activities, they aim to introduce the public to cases and the value of public data in an accessible and engaging way. The supporters will also receive systematic capacity-building programs, including education on public data and interviews with field professionals.
Shin Seil, Head of Policy at the Korea Startup Promotion Agency, stated, "This collaboration will strengthen inter-agency connections based on AI and data, and serve as an opportunity to promote digital transformation throughout the startup ecosystem. In particular, through the operation of this supporters program, we will actively support young people in acquiring practical data utilization skills and in connecting their creative ideas to entrepreneurship."
