Signed Business Agreement with Yangju-si to Cooperate on Developing Public Facilities
Yongsan-gu, Seoul, is partnering with Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, to promote the development of public facilities such as a park golf course on the site of the former Yongsan Family Recreation Center.

View original imageYongsan-gu (Mayor Hee Young Park) announced on April 17 that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with Yangju-si (Mayor Soo Hyun Kang) at the mayor's office on April 16 to utilize land owned by Yongsan-gu in Yangju-si. The signing ceremony was attended by the mayors and officials from both local governments.
Yongsan-gu is currently considering building a park golf course on the site and has been conducting a feasibility study and basic planning service since February. The results are expected to be released in August this year.
Under the memorandum of understanding, the two institutions agreed to cooperate in the development of public facilities, the promotion of win-win measures such as job creation, assistance with permits and approvals, and addressing issues such as the construction of an access road.

Hee Young Park, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, "With this agreement as a starting point, I will work closely with Yangju-si throughout the entire project process," and added, "We will strive to expand public facilities where residents can enjoy leisure and daily life, thereby improving the quality of life for local residents."
