Over 200 teachers belonging to the Lesson Inquiry Community and more than 10 members of the Lesson Support Group participated in the inauguration ceremony.
The Elementary School Lesson Inquiry Community is a teacher community that jointly researches and practices lessons centered on questions, inquiry, and discussion, focusing on each grade (or grade group). This year, a total of 100 communities will be formed and operated, consisting of 38 teams for questions, 37 teams for inquiry, 7 teams for discussion, and 18 teams for self-selected topics.
The ceremony proceeded with the following order: sharing motivations and expectations for participating in the Lesson Inquiry Community; introduction of the philosophy and practical direction of the Gyeonggi Elementary School Lesson Inquiry Community; sharing of exemplary community cases for 2025; and the declaration of the vision and practices of the Lesson Inquiry Community.
In particular, during the final part, the "2026 Lesson Inquiry Community Practice Declaration," all participants reaffirmed their commitment to creating classroom changes where "questions and inquiry" are alive through in-depth lessons.
The Provincial Office of Education plans to strengthen lessons that start from students' questions and promote the spread of "in-depth lessons" based on integrated design of curriculum, instruction, and assessment through the operation of the Lesson Inquiry Community. Additionally, by linking with the Gyeonggi Lesson Sharing System, it will share exemplary Lesson Inquiry Community cases and strive to foster a culture of collaborative growth among teachers.
