Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Achieves Top Grade for Fifth Consecutive Year in Institutional Operations Evaluation
Ministry of Employment and Labor Evaluates Operations of Subsidiaries at 92 Public Institutions
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Choi Kwan-ho, YGPA) announced on April 15 that it received the highest grade (Grade A) in the 2025 Evaluation of Public Institution Subsidiary Operations, organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, marking its fifth consecutive year (2021-2025) of achieving the top grade.
The evaluation of public institution subsidiary operations was conducted for 92 institutions that have established and are operating subsidiaries in accordance with the government's policy to convert non-regular workers in the public sector to regular positions.
This year’s evaluation assessed four categories: establishment of a stable and sustainable foundation for subsidiaries, building an ideal relationship between parent and subsidiary companies, improvement of subsidiary employees’ working conditions, and efforts to operate and support subsidiaries professionally.
YGPA received high marks in the area of establishing a stable and sustainable foundation for subsidiaries, being recognized for its achievements in expanding support for subsidiary growth and improving workers’ conditions.
