Lotte Wellfood announced on April 15 that it has become the first domestic food company to launch a dedicated application (app) for OpenAI ChatGPT.
With the launch of this app, consumers can now explore and purchase Lotte Wellfood products in real time through conversations within ChatGPT. Various requests are possible, ranging from product searches and personalized product recommendations to checking events and accessing purchase links.

Afterward, typing '@Lotte Wellfood' during a conversation will automatically activate the app. Once the app is activated, users can request personalized product curation by asking, for example, "Recommend the most popular snacks these days" or "Tell me about drinks that are suitable for a 6-month-old baby."

Lotte Wellfood explained that this integration of its mall app was planned in response to the recent expansion of the online commerce market from traditional search-based structures to conversational AI commerce. A Lotte Wellfood representative stated, "We have built a service that goes beyond simply expanding sales channels by enabling consumers to receive optimal product recommendations through conversation," adding, "We will continue to actively utilize AI technology to deliver enjoyable and differentiated brand experiences to consumers."
