Seoul Metro to Distribute Free Flower Pots to Commuters at Gwanghwamun Station on April 16
Campanula Flower Pots Distributed
Goyang Flower Expo Admission Ticket Event Also Held
On the morning of April 16, at 8:00 a.m., Seoul Metro will distribute 1,000 flower pots free of charge to commuters at Gwanghwamun Station. The distribution will take place in the concourse near Exit 3 of Line 5’s Gwanghwamun Station and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
This event is jointly organized by Seoul Metro and the Goyang International Flower Foundation. The flowers being distributed are 'Campanula,' which symbolize gratitude and warm love; they belong to the bellflower family and are often used in floral arrangements. Seoul Metro planned the event to bring a touch of spring to busy commuters and to encourage the use of public transportation.
Additional events related to the '2026 Goyang International Flower Expo,' which will be held from April 24 to May 10, are also underway. By applying through the 'Citizen Participation' section on the Seoul Metro website (www.seoulmetro.co.kr), participants can enter a lottery, and 400 winners will each receive two admission tickets. The application deadline is today (April 16), and the winners will be announced tomorrow. Visitors who use public transportation such as the subway to attend the expo will receive a KRW 3,000 discount when purchasing admission tickets on-site.
