[Today's New Product] 0g Sugar... Launch of 'Sempio Yangjo Soy Sauce Zero'
39% Fewer Calories Compared to Conventional Soy Sauce
Sempio launched its “Yangjo Soy Sauce Zero,” containing 0g of sugar, on April 15.
This product uses Sempio’s proprietary microorganisms to reduce sugar content to 0g, while preserving the original flavor of traditional brewed soy sauce. Typically, brewed soy sauce retains some sugar as a result of fermenting soybeans and wheat together. Sempio applies a sugar-zero fermentation process, which further controls residual sugars after completing the rich flavor profile through △meju fermentation, △lactic acid bacteria fermentation, △yeast fermentation, and △aging fermentation. Compared to conventional soy sauce, this product contains 39% fewer calories and 25% less sodium.
