View original imageThe Road Facility Safety Inspection Information Display System is a new initiative aimed at alleviating citizens’ concerns about safety accidents involving facilities such as pedestrian overpasses and retaining walls, as well as enhancing transparency in facility management.
The city has installed safety information signs for road facilities at 64 sites regulated under the “Facility Safety Act,” including 54 pedestrian overpasses and 10 mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) retaining walls, which are frequently used by citizens.
The safety information signs display the results of the most recent regular safety inspections.
Each sign also includes a QR code, allowing citizens to instantly check detailed safety status information with their smartphones and conveniently access civil complaint reporting procedures such as the Safety Sinmungo.
The signs are installed at eye level in areas frequently accessed by citizens, such as inside pedestrian overpass elevators and on stair railings.
Starting with the installation of these signs, the city plans to gradually expand the placement of safety inspection information signs to all road facilities throughout Yongin.
