Kim Sehyun is an emerging pianist who drew global attention by winning the Long-Thibaud International Competition last year at the age of 17.
The first part of the concert featured Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1. The combination of Maestro Chung's conducting and Kim Sehyun's delicate expressiveness received a standing ovation from the audience. In the second part, the concert concluded with Brahms' Symphony No. 2—often referred to as "Brahms' Pastoral Symphony"—offering a peaceful and lyrical melody.
Cho Dae-gyu, CEO of Kyobo Life Insurance, attended the concert for both days, personally thanking the clients and introducing the pieces while engaging with the audience.
CEO Cho remarked, "I hope you take a brief break from your daily routine to savor the grandeur of Tchaikovsky and the warm, lyrical melodies of Brahms," adding, "Kyobo Life Insurance promises to always stand by your side as a steadfast lifelong companion."
The Noblesse Concert is the flagship program of the "Noblesse Service" for Kyobo Life Insurance's top clients. Since 2012, Maestro Myung-Whun Chung has performed in major cities across Korea every year, leading efforts to expand the classical music audience and popularize arts and culture.
This year, starting with Daegu and Busan last month and followed by the Daejeon and Gwangju performances, the company has provided high-quality classical stages to about 6,000 clients nationwide over four concerts. Two additional performances are scheduled to be held in Seoul this September.
