"Will Firmly Respond to Negative Campaigning in the Main Election"

On this day, Jeong announced five key pledges: realizing a 30-minute commute city, speeding up redevelopment and reconstruction maintenance projects, improving disaster, flooding, and sinkhole response systems, supporting the elderly in their later years, and expanding cultural infrastructure such as the K-Arena.
He pointed out, "Due to the incompetence, irresponsibility, and insensitivity of Oh Sehoon's administration, the fundamentals of life have been shaken, opportunities have narrowed, and expectations for the future have diminished." He added, "The biggest issue is that the true owners of Seoul's administration should be its citizens, but the philosophy and direction of the city government are determined as if the Seoul mayor is the owner."
Jeong stated, "My vision is for a Seoul where the citizens are the true owners and the city government works for what the people want." He promised, "Jeong Wono will deliver tangible changes that citizens can feel and take responsibility until the end."
He also said, "I will bring together the power of the Democratic Party and create a 'melting pot' election campaign committee that can include voices from the field and a wide range of expertise."
Regarding the 'melting pot campaign committee,' he explained, "We will include not only lawmakers and candidates representing districts in Seoul but also those who represent the important centrist voters in the election." He emphasized, "We will organize the committee with an eye toward expanding our appeal to win the general election." He added, "We will also reorganize our pledges to include the campaign promises made by Assemblywoman Jeon Hyunhee and others."
He continued, "I will carry out an inclusive campaign that unites the strength within the party and embraces the broader wishes of citizens who desire change in Seoul." He added, "By closely collaborating with Democratic Party candidates in all 25 autonomous districts of Seoul, we will respond more quickly to tasks for overcoming crises and addressing issues affecting people's livelihoods on the ground."
Regarding being confirmed as the candidate without a runoff, Jeong said, "Party members united so that the Democratic Party could campaign as one team. I believe they gave me the opportunity to stand against Mayor Oh."
Jeong also stated, "I believe an election is not a battle against the opposing candidate, but against the inconveniences faced by citizens." He said, "During the primary, I mainly spoke about citizens' inconveniences, but if unreasonable negative attacks emerge in the main election, I will respond firmly."
