Awarded for Five Consecutive Years
Kyowon Red Pen announced on April 3 that the children's science magazine Science Boy was selected as an outstanding magazine in the science and technology category of the "2026 Excellent Content Magazine" awards.
First published in May 1991, Science Boy is Korea's leading children's science magazine. Each month, it introduces the latest scientific trends in a way that is accessible to children, based on advice from top domestic institutions and experts. By explaining everyday curiosities through scientific principles and stimulating interest in science with differentiated content, the magazine has achieved cumulative sales of over 43 million copies to date.
Kyowon Red Pen explained that, during this year's Excellent Content Magazine review, Science Boy was highly praised for its broad and in-depth coverage of professional scientific knowledge. Notably, it was the only magazine for children among the selected titles in the science and technology category. Since 2000, Science Boy has received the honor of being recognized as an Excellent Content Magazine a total of 10 times, including this year.
To commemorate this selection, a celebratory comment event will be held. A total of 20 people who leave a congratulatory comment on the official Kyowon Red Pen Instagram account will receive prizes: eight winners will get a Science Boy comic book and twelve will receive a coffee gift voucher.
