The Gangwon Tourism Organization (hereinafter referred to as "the Organization") announced on March 20 that it participated in the "2026 Korea-Taiwan B2B Tourism Contents Festival in Taipei with MICE," held at the Taipei Marriott Hotel in Taiwan on the 19th, focusing on promoting the differentiated MICE competitiveness of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province.

View original imageThis event, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Tourism Organization, was arranged to support the continued growth of the Taiwan-to-Korea tourism market, which is recording an all-time high. A total of 92 organizations, including 42 from Korea and 50 major travel agencies and buyers from Taiwan, with 168 participants, engaged in active business consultations during the event.
At the festival, the Organization operated a dedicated consultation booth and actively introduced Gangwon's regionally specialized tourism content and MICE incentive support programs to local buyers in Taiwan. In particular, in-depth one-on-one business meetings were held with local travel industry representatives to explore the potential for attracting incentive groups to the Gangwon region and to achieve tangible results.
