A man and a woman, both believed to be in their 30s, were found in critical condition after being stabbed with a weapon at a villa in downtown Gwangju, prompting a police investigation.
According to the Gwangsan Police Station in Gwangju on March 19, a 119 emergency call was received at 2:59 p.m. that day, reporting that "someone had been stabbed with a weapon" at a villa in the Suwan district of Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju.
Firefighters and police officers dispatched to the scene in response to the call discovered a man and a woman, both estimated to be in their 30s, lying on the villa staircase bleeding and unconscious.
Both individuals were rushed to a nearby hospital by paramedics for emergency treatment, but are reportedly in critical condition.
