"Capture Indonesia"... Gyeonggi Tourism Organization to Hold Tourism Briefing on the 19th
The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will hold a tourism briefing session targeting the Indonesian market.
On March 19, the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will host a tourism briefing session at the Citizen Academy of the Seoul Tourism Plaza, together with Traveloka, the largest travel platform in Southeast Asia. The event will be attended by about 60 participants, including tourism industry representatives from Gyeonggi Province and travel agencies specializing in individual tourists.
This briefing session has been organized to target the Indonesian market, which ranks fourth in the world by population with 280 million people.
According to the Korea Tourism Data Lab, the number of Indonesian visitors to Korea last year reached 360,000, an increase of 8.3% compared to the previous year.
The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization is holding a briefing session jointly with Traveloka to attract tourists from Indonesia, the world's 4th largest population. Photo shows the briefing session announcement poster.
View original imageIn addition, the "2025 National Image of Korea Survey Report" released by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism found that the favorability rating of Korea among Indonesians was 86.6%, ranking 10th overall.
Accordingly, the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization and Traveloka plan to significantly expand the number of Gyeonggi Province tourism products on the platform, in cooperation with the local tourism industry and with a focus on Indonesia.
In particular, Traveloka will assign a dedicated staff member to actively support the smooth registration of local tourism and accommodation products and promote business growth.

A representative from the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization stated, "As the proportion of individual travelers to Korea continues to rise, we will work closely with Traveloka, a specialized online platform, and the local industry to target the Indonesian market, which has the world's largest Muslim population among single Muslim nations, and do our utmost to achieve tangible results in attracting tourists."
