75 Billion Won to Be Invested in Land and Transport AI Transformation Support
Part of the Government’s AX Sprint Initiative
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that, as part of the Artificial Intelligence Transformation (AX) project, it will open a call for business proposals starting from the 19th for about one month. This project aims to expand the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the land and transport sector, including traffic operations, road and construction safety, and residential environments. The program will select products or services that are in the pre-commercialization stage and provide a total of 70 billion won in support—60 billion won this year and 15 billion won next year. This is part of the government-wide “AX Sprint” initiative to rapidly commercialize AI-based application products.
Support will be provided in two categories: the land and transport sector, and the road and mobility sector. For the land and transport sector, eligible areas include digital twin-based national land management, urban spatial information, architecture and residential environments, social infrastructure defect prediction, construction site safety, railways, aviation, and logistics. For the road and mobility sector, eligible projects include disaster and hazard response, road facility maintenance, intelligent traffic operations, and mobility service optimization.
