Innosimulation Partners with World-Leading Wind Tunnel Company Aerodium
Innosimulation, a company specializing in digital twin-based physical AI training platforms, is set to expand its defense training and experiential entertainment business by collaborating with Aerodium, a global leader in the skydiving simulator (Vertical Wind Tunnel) sector.
Innosimulation announced on March 17 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Aerodium to expand its simulator business. Through this agreement, the two companies plan to cooperate in a wide range of fields within the Korean market, including defense training, sports, tourism and leisure, and entertainment. By combining Aerodium’s wind tunnel technology with Innosimulation’s XR-based simulation and digital twin technology, they aim to jointly develop new forms of training and experiential solutions, as well as pursue expansion into both domestic and international markets in the future.
The wind tunnel (Vertical Wind Tunnel) is equipment that utilizes strong upward air currents to enable skydiving training and experiences on the ground. It is used in various industries, including military airborne infiltration and high-altitude training, as well as in film and advertising shoots, events, and leisure facilities.
The two companies are also considering the possibility of developing immersive tactical training solutions for precision airborne infiltration and high-altitude training in the defense sector. Their goal is to build a training system that closely resembles real operational environments by integrating XR-based virtual environments with wind tunnel technology.
In the civilian sector, they also plan to establish integrated experience facilities that combine skydiving experiences with XR content for tourism, education, and entertainment. Through this initiative, they aim to jointly explore landmark-content business models that will help revitalize regional tourism.
Additionally, the two companies will engage in joint marketing and strategic cooperation to identify new business opportunities. Such facilities are expected not only to serve as simple experience spaces, but also to evolve into integrated platforms that combine training, education, and tourism, thereby contributing both to the expansion of defense training infrastructure and the revitalization of the regional tourism industry.
A company representative said, “By combining Aerodium’s wind tunnel technology with XR simulation technology, we can establish a new experiential content business model that encompasses not only military training, but also tourism and entertainment. With this collaboration, we plan to expand possibilities for cooperation across various industrial sectors.”
