The Haetmuri Overpass is a pedestrian bridge connecting the area near Gwangseong Elementary School in Cheolsan-dong to Anyangcheon and serves as a major walkway frequently used by citizens visiting Anyangcheon.
This project was undertaken after damage caused by aging pavement materials on the walkway was discovered due to long-term use since its installation in 2009, in order to ensure pedestrian safety and resolve inconveniences for users.
The city focused on renovating the overpass floor and carrying out maintenance and reinforcement of key structural elements.
From January 28 to March 13, over approximately 45 days, the existing elastic pavement was removed and replaced with a wooden deck, and the entire walkway was renovated. Drainage facilities were also improved to enhance the durability and safety of the structure.
With this renovation, the Haetmuri Overpass now offers a more pleasant and safer environment for pedestrians.
