Han Han-gil Considers Launching 'Yoon Again' New Party... Says Yoon Stopped Him Last Year
Options Range from Remaining with People Power Party to Founding a New Party

When a user posted a request to support Liberty and Innovation, a political group led by former Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn, Han responded, "I'm considering four options," and explained that he is weighing his next steps.
The four options he presented were: support for the People Power Party, support for Liberty and Innovation, support for another minor conservative party, or the creation of a new party.
In relation to this, on the morning of the previous day, Han also launched a survey for his supporters on his YouTube channel regarding his future direction. As of 5:45 p.m. that day, approximately 47,000 people had participated, with 59% selecting the option 'join the four conservative parties,' making it the most popular choice. This was followed by 'support the People Power Party' at 25%, and 'found a new party with young people' at 16%.
Regarding his vision for a new party, Han explained that it would be a "'Noppakku' (meaning 'unyielding') Yoon Again party to eradicate election fraud and overturn the existing political establishment." Some also interpret his move as an attempt to build an independent political force, believing that the People Power Party has not been sufficiently proactive in addressing the election fraud allegations and the 'Yoon Again' agenda that he has advocated.
Since joining the People Power Party last year, Han has publicly expressed support for former President Yoon Seok-youl throughout the party convention process. He has emphasized the 'Yoon Again' platform and supported a party leader who pledged to publicize allegations of election fraud, even stating he would "abandon" the party if there was a split with former President Yoon, thus taking a hardline stance.

In his YouTube broadcast on March 5, Han recounted the situation at that time, saying, "Just before the legal team was about to declare the formation of a new party, I received a direct call from former President Yoon telling me to stop." He added, "He told Bae Uicheol, the legal team’s attorney, that 'the president is furious.'"

Han further explained the background, saying, "What the president said was, 'I'm the number one member of the People Power Party, and if a Yoon Again party is suddenly formed right after my removal, people might misunderstand.'" Han continued, "At that time, we also tried to launch the Free University party but halted the effort. Former Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn also said, 'the People Power Party is hopeless,' and went on to form his own party."
