Chung expressed that he was glad Song was fully exonerated and released, acknowledging that Song must have suffered greatly and felt wronged during the process."
Kwon added, "Chung also said that the spirit of the times is to hope for the success of the Lee Jaemyung administration, so he hoped everyone under the Democratic Party banner would unite and strongly support the administration's success."
Song was also reported to have expressed his gratitude to Chung, saying, "Thank you for leading the party well and for guiding me smoothly through the process of rejoining."
The two agreed on the need to work together for the success of the Lee Jaemyung administration and for a decisive victory in the upcoming local elections.
However, according to Kwon, they did not discuss issues related to the by-elections, such as the Gyeyang-eul district in Incheon, which Song is reportedly interested in running for.
