Wadiz Sees Eightfold Growth in Overseas Transactions... Establishes Itself as a Platform for Global Expansion of K-Makers
K-Beauty, Goods, Fashion, E-books, and Classes
Payments made from over 40 countries including the US, Japan, and China
Wadiz announced on March 5 that its monthly active users (MAU) in January this year increased 2.5 times compared to the same period last year, while its overseas transaction volume grew more than eightfold. The company stated that it is establishing itself as a platform for global expansion for domestic small businesses and emerging brands.
The key driver of this growth has been the continuous influx of overseas users since the launch of its global service in May last year. In particular, the number of international visitors has been rapidly increasing, especially from the United States, Japan, and China. As of January this year, approximately 40% of total MAU accessed the platform from abroad. As a result, actual payments have been made from over 40 countries, demonstrating tangible outcomes for the global service.
By category, K-beauty (21%), K-goods (19%), and K-fashion (18%) accounted for more than half of overseas transaction volume, leading growth. Global participation is also expanding in content projects such as e-books and classes, in addition to consumer goods. The "Digital Drawing Brush and Class" funding project attracted supporters from 12 countries across Asia, North America, and Europe, demonstrating global scalability that is not limited to a specific country.

Wadiz is also expanding its role as a platform for overseas brands to enter the Korean market. Recently, the company established offices in Tokyo, Japan and Shenzhen, China, strengthening its network for discovering global makers and fostering collaboration. A Wadiz representative stated, "The rapid growth in MAU and overseas transaction volume is a meaningful indicator showing that domestic makers are directly connecting with global consumers through Wadiz. We will continue to strengthen our role as a global platform to help even more K-innovation makers use Wadiz as a springboard to take on the world market."
